a display in celebration of that ubiquitous
American pop culture artifact, the baseball
trading card, which updates last summer’s
Cardboard Fetish exhibition at the Pasadena

In conjunction with the display, Son of
Cardboard Fetish, the Baseball Reliquary,
South Pasadena Public Library, and Friends of
the South Pasadena Public Library present an
“Author Night” program with Josh Wilker, creator
of the widely-acclaimed Cardboard Gods blog and
author of Cardboard Gods: An All-American
Tale Told Through Baseball Cards (Seven
Footer Press, New York, 2010). Wilker will
discuss his newly-published memoir and will sign
copies. South Pasadena Public Library

33 & Counting,
an exhibition devoted to the 33 inductees to the
Baseball Reliquary’s Shrine of the Eternals,
featuring artworks, artifacts, photographs,
documents, and inductee plaques. Included will
be a display in commemoration of the 40th
anniversary of Dock Ellis’ no-hitter in San
Diego, which he pitched while under the
influence of LSD. Pasadena Central Library,
